Josh Greenberg is pictured in a photo from December 2010. (Gainesville Sun) On Sunday, Greenberg, 28, was found dead. According to Gainesville police, there was no evidence of foul play or suicide. The Gainesville Sun reported that Greenberg was discovered by his girlfriend, Abby Mayer, in their home when she returned from a trip out of town. “It looked like he was sleeping,” his mother Lori Greenberg said. She noted that her son was relieved that the legal troubles his site had been embroiled in were finally coming to an end “He was excited about potential new things that he was going to start,” Lori Greenberg told the paper. She said an autopsy would be performed Monday. The site Greenberg co-founded once had more than 35 million users, nearly 150 employees and two offices at its peak. But for much of its existence, it had been beset by legal challenges. [Grooveshark once had 35 million users. Now, the music-streaming service is defunct.]
